Change Your Body Change Your Life Competition

I got an excellent opportunity to go share my weight loss experience with people of the Golds family at the convention held in Las Vegas this year. I am really glad I was given such an opportunity by the gym. I was shortlisted as one of the top five finalists among entries from all over the world. 

It was an extraordinary experience. The convention was held at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas, USA. It was held between the 21st – 23rd of July 2008. The first day of the convention in the evening we had an introduction ceremony where the entire five finalists were called on stage and introduced individually by Mike Feinman (COO Golds Gym International) and our old pictures showed on the large screen. Over the period of the next two days I interacted with various franchise owners and office bearers and got to learn a lot from them. All the people attending have had various experiences but the basic aim of all of them was common to change lives without which I also would not have achieved my weight loss.

I spent a great deal of time interacting with the other finalist of the competition. They all had their set of experiences and difficulties faced to share. But the only thing common between all of us was our focus to achieve and thus we could relate with each other even though we came from various backgrounds and age groups. 

Over the period of the convention all those attending got a chance to vote for the winner of the change your body change your life competition. Finally on the evening of the third day there was an awards ceremony where we were awarded a trophy and the winner of the competition declared. 

In all it was a very motivational experience as it was an award for my efforts and the trophy was the icing on the cake.  I had a great time and learnt a lot. I would like to thank Golds Gym as well as my Manager Shreenivas and specially my Trainer Nivas, without their efforts this wouldn’t have been possible.
